Take the plunge on the Great Barrier Reef and log some quality bottom time! With over 1000 species of marine life you never know what or even who you might see down there from the thrill of finding your first Nemo, to hanging out with the resident turtles, or even cruising with Mr Ray. Every dive is a new experience out on the reef.
During your day trip, you will be able to dive in two different locations on the reef, chosen according to the weather conditions and the safety and enjoyment of our customers.
All equipment that you require is included in the course cost. All our dives are certified buddy dives but if it has been awhile since you last dived or if you just want to cruise and let someone else remember where the boat is then dive guides are available for an additional cost. (HINT: they also know where all the cool things are!!)
Make sure that you remember to bring your certification card and your logbook with you for a friendly crew member to see.
If you can't find the information you need, please feel free to Contact Us directly. Our Divers Den reservations team are available 24 hours by telephone, if you prefer to use email, we endeavour to reply within 24 hours whenever possible.

Not been SCUBA Diving in over 12 months?!
In Queensland, SCUBA safe practices are an extremely high priority, regulations and requirements are some of the strictest worldwide. To ensure customer safety and satisfaction we pride ourselves in running safe and organised vessels. If you have not participated in SCUBA in over 12 months and choose not to go with a Guide, we will require a SCUBA instructor to witness a set of 3 basic SCUBA skills underwater, free of charge. We aim for this to be of minimal impact to your day and your dive time, skills will be conducted on descent at the start of your first dive. If you struggle to complete these 3 skills to the PADI Professionals requirements, you will then remain with the guided group under supervision of an Instructor, this will be charged as a guided dive at $15 per person. To aid, all procedures will be fully briefed aboard all our vessels.
*Please note: High Altitudes and SCUBA
Currently the rules state that for a single no decompression dive, you should not fly/go to altitude for at least 12 hours. Multiple dives: 18 hours. Deep Sea Divers Den recommends waiting a minimum 24 hours whenever possible. These are guidelines only, there is no guarantee that these recommendations will prevent decompression sickness. Currently there are no guidelines regarding diving after flying. Altitude is 300m/1000ft above sea level. This includes going to the Atherton Tablelands, so be careful when you are booking tours to follow your dive course/trip. Under normal circumstances, you should be out of the water on your last dive by 2pm
