Explore the Great Barrier Reef for less with a budget snorkel day trip from Cairns with Divers Den. Snorkelling is the easiest way to see the incredibly colourful and diverse underwater world of the Great Barrier Reef.
On board our vessel SeaQuest, all equipment is provided and our friendly, experienced guides will show you how to use it during your affordable Great Barrier Reef snorkelling day trip. Your adventure begins with a scenic 90-minute boat trip from Cairns to the Outer Reef where you can snorkel safely and enjoyably at some of the most incredible reef sites, where the waters are warm and clear.
You’ll have up to 4 hours to immerse yourself in the beauty of the reef and experience two stunning sights. We visit Norman and Saxon Reefs – glimpse colourful coral thickets, turtles and more – and Hastings Reef, where you can get up close to colourful butterfly and angel fish, as well as other amazing species!
We offer a full Tropical Buffet Lunch with something for everyone, including a variety of salads, cold meats and fruits. Complimentary tea, coffee and chilled water are available throughout the day as well as snacks, soft and alcoholic beverages for an additional cost.
On our return journey we make our way to our liveaboard vessel OceanQuest, where we will dock beside it at approximately 2 PM for a smooth transfer for those guests embarking or disembarking to the liveaboard vessel. These transfers will take around 30 minutes then we will commence our journey back to Cairns which takes 90 minutes.

12pm: Move to second site and enjoy lunch
12.30pm: Second snorkelling opportunity
2.15pm: Move to the location of our vessel OceanQuest to transfer overnight passengers
2.50pm: Depart for Cairns
4.30pm: Arrive Cairns
