SeaQuest Certified Diving Day Trip

Overview

Join Divers Den for an affordable Great Barrier Reef certified diving Cairns day trip. Enjoy an incredible day cruising out to the reef on board SeaQuest and add the Great Barrier Reef to the places you’ve dived around the world.

The warm waters off Cairns and the incredible diversity of the world’s largest ecosystem offer perfect conditions for certified scuba diving. You’ll experience some of the most renowned reef sites, chosen from our moorings around the Norman, Saxon and Hastings Reefs based on the day’s conditions. Glimpse colourful coral thickets, giant clams, eels, turtles and more!

Our vessel is purpose-built for diving, with a spacious dive deck. In between dives, relax on deck and enjoy the view, and enjoy a tasty buffet lunch. Our full Tropical Buffet Lunch including a variety of salads, cold meats and fruits. Complimentary tea, coffee and chilled water are available throughout the day as well as snacks, soft and alcoholic beverages for an additional cost.

On our return journey, we will dock beside our liveaboard vessel OceanQuest to transfer those guests embarking or disembarking, before making our way back to Cairns, which takes 90 minutes.

Keen for a longer Great Barrier Reef dive trip? Join our sister vessel AquaQuest which offers up to five hours out on the reef and up to three dive sessions.

Medical and Altitude Info

All certified scuba participants must meet medical questionnaire requirements. Some conditions or medications may prevent you from diving. These requirements can be found on our Can I Dive? page, and we strongly recommend reviewing before booking.

Queensland’s code of practice on diving states that for a single no decompression dive, you should not fly/go to altitude for at least 12 hours, or 24 hours if divers have had multiple dives per day for several consecutive days, or have made dives that require decompression stops.

Altitude is defined as 300m/1000ft above sea level. This includes going to the Atherton Tablelands (a popular local scenic attraction), so please be aware if booking tours to follow your dive trip. Under normal circumstances, you should be out of the water from your last dive of the day at 2:30 pm.

Cancellation Policy

You can reschedule or cancel your trip any time up to 48 hours departure with no penalty. Read our terms and conditions.
