Experience the incredible Great Barrier Reef for less with our Snorkelling Special day trip from Cairns with Divers Den. Snorkelling is the easiest way to see the incredibly colourful and diverse underwater world of the Great Barrier Reef.
On board our vessel AquaQuest, all equipment is provided and our friendly, experienced guides will show you how to use it during your affordable Great Barrier Reef snorkelling day trip. Your adventure begins with a scenic 90-minute boat trip from Cairns to the Outer Reef where you can snorkel safely and enjoyably at some of the most incredible reef sites, where the waters are warm and clear.
You’ll have up to 5 hours to immerse yourself in the beauty of the reef and experience two stunning sights. We visit Norman and Saxon Reefs – glimpse colourful coral thickets, turtles and more – and Hastings Reef, where you can get up close to colourful butterfly and angel fish, as well as other amazing species!
With Divers Den, you’ll enjoy the comfort of our modern vessel. Relax on deck or in our comfortable lounge area, and enjoy a tasty lunch during your cruise.
After an incredible day on the reef, we will start our return journey to Cairns, which takes 90 minutes.

8am: Check in at Cairns Marlin Marina
8.30am: Depart Cairns
10.00am: Arrive at first snorkelling site
12.45am: Move to second snorkelling site and enjoy lunch
1.30pm: Continue snorkelling
3pm: Depart reef site
4.30pm: Arrive Cairns
