Join us for an evening trip to the Great Barrier Reef with two night dives or snorkel sessions!
There’s nothing like the thrill of exploring the underwater world by night – with sharks and other nocturnal hunters prowling about and a host of other interesting marine life on display. With your attention focused on the beam of light provided by your torch, you’ll see the reef in a whole different perspective.
Set off from Cairns in the late afternoon and head for the outer reef, with a thorough briefing along the way. Then discover the thrills of diving after dark with two night dive or snorkel sessions. Fuel up in between dives with a tasty range of refreshments, including:
Dive guides are available but must be pre-booked (see Extras below). If you have no previous night diving experience you must dive with a guide. If you’ve never done a night dive before, this is the perfect opportunity to give it a try before you commit to a liveaboard trip.
Experienced night divers can choose to enhance their experience with our exclusive fluoro diving activity (see Extras below). With a special mask filter and torch, the bioluminescent creatures and corals of the reef will be revealed to you. This experience is usually only available on board our overnight vessel OceanQuest – this is your chance to try it out on this one-off evening trip.
