You must agree to these terms and conditions prior to making a booking with us.
Cancellation/Rescheduling Policy
Deep Sea Divers Den reserves the right to change vessel, dive locations and price without notice.
Please note DSDD must receive at least 48 hours notice from you when choosing to cancel / reschedule a reservation. Cancellation refunds are not given within 48 hours notice. This includes factors beyond your control including medical problems, airline delays, bad weather, etc. - "Trade Practices Act 1974". Travel insurance is highly recommended.
Cancellation fees:
Group Bookings : As per agreement with the marketing department
ReefQuest & OceanQuest:
- More than 48 hours before course/trip commencement date: 10% of course/trip fee
- Within 48 hours of course/trip commencement: Full course/trip fee
All DSDD bookings are subject to a 10% cancellation fee.

- At the time of booking you are required to make either a 20% deposit or you can pay in full (note below)
- Full payment is required if the date of travel is within 30 days
- Please advise us where in Cairns you will be staying to arrange your pick up
- Please supply your own towels for all trips
- Please remember to bring your diver certification card if you are a certified diver
- We strongly recommend you have dive insurance
Dive Medicals
Dive Medicals
- If you are enrolling in a learn to dive course you must undergo a dive medical to Australian Standard AS4005.1
- Dive medicals are arranged on the first day of your dive course in our training centre. Currently AUD$55.
- If you have any concern about your health we strongly recommend that you arrange a dive medical before starting the course.
- This medical must be issued in English on a doctors letterhead indicating that you are fit to scuba dive and that the medical was done to Australian Standard AS4005.1

Taka Terms and Conditions
- In the case of extreme weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances, Taka Dive reserves the right to adjust or cancel the standard itinerary.
- Certain medical conditions or medication can preclude some people from diving, please contact Taka Dive if more information is required.

Dive Insurance
- All passengers are strongly advised to purchase a comprehensive Travel Insurance policy that includes
- Trip Cancellation insurance, and
- Evacuation & Medical cover for Scuba Diving.
- Please be aware that Scuba Diving and in-water activities are not covered by all Travel Insurance companies. Please read the wording of your policy carefully.
- In a Medical Emergency any evacuation, vessel relocation or medical expenses are the financial responsibility of that diver.
- We strongly recommend the purchase of dive insurance.
Medical

The cancellation fees are as follows:
- 20% cancellation fee 30 days or more prior to departure.
- 50% cancellation fee if within 30 days prior to departure.
- 100% cancellation fee within 14 days prior to departure.
