PADI Emergency First Response Instructor
As a PADI Emergency First Response Instructor you will be able to offer a more complete service to your Rescue, and Divemaster students by not having to refer them elsewhere for C.P.R. and/or First Aid Training.

The E.F.R. INSTRUCTOR Course Curriculum includes the following topics:
- Emergency First Response Program Philosophy.
- Learning and Instruction.
- Course Standards & Materials
- Teaching Emergency First Response.
- Skills Workshop.
- Primary Care, (CPR).
- Automated External Defibrillator (AED) use.
- Emergency Oxygen use
- Conscious Choking
- Secondary Care, (First Aid).
- Organising an Emergency First Response course.
- Mannequin cleaning.
- Marketing Emergency First Response.
- Must be a renewed PADI Divemaster (or a PADI Instructor with a higher rating)
- Have successfully completed an EFR Primary care course or another qualifying CPR course.
- Have successfully completed an EFR Secondary care course or another qualifying First Aid course.
- PADI Emergency First Response Instructor Guide.
- PADI Emergency First Response Student Guide.
- Ventilation Barrier (Pocket Mask).
- Administrative Requirements:
- Two passport size photographs
The following items are included in the course fee:
- 2 days tuition and use of classroom facilities.
- Use of mannequin(s), gloves, bandages and dressings.
- PADI Emergency First Response Instructor certification card.
- PADI Emergency First Response Instructor wall certificate.
The following items are not included in the course fee:
- Emergency First Response Instructor kit (Instructor Manual and Student Guide)
- Ventilation Barrier.
- Emergency First Response Registration Fee. (Currently $71.50).
How to prepare for the course:
- Ensure you have attended an EFR course as a student. (Or hold a current CPR and FIRST AID certificate with another organisation)
- Complete EFR self study Knowledge Reviews.
