DAN O2 Provider This is a must for everyone working as a Divemaster or Instructor. The course authorises you to administer Oxygen as a first aid provider. Many Governments now require career divers to have a course of this calibre before being allowed to work. You should also recommend this course to all your Rescue and Divemaster students. Duration: 1/2 Day The DAN Oxygen Provider Course Curriculum includes the following topics:Part 1 : Resuscitation: - Physiology
- Resuscitation
- One and Two person EAR & CPR
Part 2 : Oxygen Provision: - Recognition of Diving Injuries
- Benefits of providing supplemental Oxygen
- When Best to Administer Oxygen
- Oxygen Equipment
- Oxygen Unit
- Dealing with a Diving Accident
- Minimum age 14.
- Hold a Senior First Aid Certificate (or equivalent).
- Course Materials Required
- Text book "Oxygen First Aid For Divers" by John Lippman.
- Two passport size photographs.
- Provide proof of Senior First Aid qualification or equivalent. (Candidates who have undergone EFR Instructor Course automatically qualify).
The following items are included in the Course Fee: - 1/2 day tuition and use of classroom facilities.
- Required text book "Oxygen First Aid For Divers" by John Lippman.
- Use of mannequin(s) and Oxygen Equipment.
- DAN Oxygen Provider certification fee.
- DAN Oxygen Provider wall certificate.
The following items are not included in the course fee: - DAN S.E. Asia Pacific Membership (not required for certification).
- PADI OXYGEN FIRST AID SPECIALTY certification card.
