Thank you to everyone at DSDD who made the 5 day learn to dive course so wonderful. Neil H and Rocky were fantastic as was Becks and everyone on the night boat. I expected to have a great experience, but my expectations were surpassed. I met great people - both instructors and fellow divers - and didn't want to leave. You've hooked me on diving. Thanks for a fantastic week! I won't hesitate to recommend DSDD...in fact I've already recommended you a few times.
Thanks again!

Dear DSDD, thanks again for a wonderful trip! We did the learn to dive and advanced course on ocean quest last week. Most of our dives were with Neil D - couldn't have asked for a friendlier or more helpful instructor to learn with! Our last few dives with Val (another great instructor) were also a lot of fun. Thanks to all of the crew for making it an awesome experience!

Dear DSDD, just want to say that I had an incredible time on OceanQuest. Loved the dives, the food was excellent and beyond our expectations, the instructors were all very friendly and both knowledgeable and experienced. If, or should I say WHEN I come back to the Great Barrier, I'll be sure to dive with you again. Thanks :)

Remarks on Taka.

From a rusty diver - your crew is prof. and respectful - led by a fine irish dive director and oz skipper. Wholesome cuisine by a kiwi. Thorough nitrox instruction by a canuck.. It's all very UN, and puts the florida dive experience to shame. Informative.. a must see for the eyes - they will beg this in time again. Thanks for your hospitality, and for taking the cheese out of tourism.

Dear DSDD. Just want to say that I just made the Adventure of my lifetime. Thanks to a nice crew, excellent accomodation and last but not least thanks to my wonderful Diving guides "Valle" (4 dives) and Neal (1 dive). They were so nice and helpful to me. I could not dive very well at the beginning so it was terrific assistance to me. I will warmly recommend to dive with you whenever any of my friends are going to Cairns. As for myself I will probably come back in a couple of years and then it will OF COURSE be on the Ocean Quest. Take care and once again many thanks for everything.

Best regards,

Did my open Water & then ended up doing my Advanced Course as the instruction was well, right up there. The whole experience from the Pool to Ocean Quest and the sites were woth every bit. Thanks to all crew for their friendliness and the cheif for some great meals. Well worth experienceing the liveaboard, as you haven't dived unless you've done the early morning and night dives.
Cheers The Intro Queen (Well I was, now I'm certified) :roll :grin

A fun 3 days diving, relaxing, and meeting some great people. But most memorable: the Thai Pumpkin Soup. Mouth-watering! Hope to get back to the Reef soon!

Taka is Outstanding!

Matt the Trip Director gave comprehensive dive briefings and kept the trip running smoothly, and “Irish” Ed the Cook kept everyone VERY well fed and entertained. Steffan the Videographer produced a brilliant souvenir “movie” of the trip.

All crew were very friendly and professional which made for a thoroughly enjoyable trip from start to finish.

It is excellent value for money for diving the pristine, isolated areas of the Northern Great Barrier Reef. It is a “must do” for every certified diver that visits our region. The cod feed, Pixie Pinnacle, Steve’s Bommie, the night dives were great highlights!

Taka is a clean, comfortable and spacious boat. The dive deck has plenty of room to move around. Exiting the water is easy via the ladders and duck board. The cabins are roomy and the beds are comfortable. The food was delicious and there was PLENTY of it!

The BCD’s are **brand new**! All the other dive gear is in good condition. A couple of divers commented they would have liked thicker wetsuits because they were feeling cold on some dives. I was very happy to be told I can leave excess luggage at the Deep Sea Divers Den shop for the duration of the trip.

The dive briefings were comprehensive and informative. Most of the dive sites were easy to navigate. A dive guide was offered for every dive at no extra charge.

It was the best diving I have done so far. There were divers from USA, Japan, UK, Germany and Netherlands who were all amazed by the diversity and quality of the dive sites.

Wanted you to know how much I enjoyed my diving experience when I was in beautiful Queensland recently, April 23-26 (I think). It was a 10-year anniversary trip for my husband and me and the highlight was the class that we took with Dan. He was an amazeing motivator and was able to provide me support despite my obvious insecurities about diving. He helped me tap my inner confidence and strength, if that makes sense. I really think he was a positive influence on my learning….I'm not sure that another instructor would have done so well with me. :)

So please tell him that he is wonderful and that his passion for his job and for diving (and for life) shows and is contagious.

Sincerely from the midwest of USA
